Natural monuments:

Hintersee:

This picturesque mountain lake, created in 1495 by a rock fall, is located at 1,300 m above sea level in the end of the trough of the Felbertal. In 1933 it was declared a natural monument and is the ideal place for a relaxing hike followed by a stop at the Gamsblickhütte or the Tauernhaus Spital.

Schösswendalm:

Because of its uniqueness and beauty, it is a special natural spectacle. Particularly noteworthy are the numerous smaller and larger waterfalls and the forms of erosion that the water has created over thousands of years of work. Due to the spray effect of the water, there is a high level of humidity locally, which has created a typical canyon forest in this area.

Wasenmoos:

1,240 m above sea level: This botanically and faunistically very interesting area is home to the rare dwarf birch and represents such a closed, typically alpine raised and flat moor area of unique scenic beauty.

Pagan Church:

Huge block of gneiss at Elisabethsee on Felbertauernstrasse. So-called sleeping stone, according to pagan tradition, when you push yourself through, you strip off illness and all evil. Right next to it is the romantic Elisabethsee – a fishing paradise.
